We’re passionate about improving oral health and bringing smiles to the faces of Aucklanders young, old and inbetween.
We’ve been doing it since 2013. That’s the year John Jungki Kim set up Neo Dental and A1 Dentures on Dominion Road in Mt Eden.
His vision was to have a dental practice that brings together the latest technology with a compassionate touch and making it affordable and accessible to the community.
A few years have passed, the name has changed (to Neo Dental Studio) and the team has grown. But John’s vision is as clear and as strong as ever.
As a patient you can expect the very best dental care, whether it’s a routine checkup, cleaning, fillings, root canals, dental implants or specially customised dentures.

Dr Irene Kelemete
Dentist
“Good oral health is so important to your overall well-being. I’m committed to providing patients with top quality care that takes away the stress of visiting the dentist.”
Patients know they’re in good hands with Irene. She gained her dentistry degree at the University of Otago and worked for various private practices across New Zealand before joining the Neo Dental team.
Besides providing gentle and effective dental care for her patients, Irene is helping to train New Zealand’s next generation of dentists in her role as an Able Practice fellow at the University of Otago Auckland Dental facility.
“I want to give back in any way I can,” Irene says. “That’s why I enjoy mentoring final year dental students so they can go on to provide quality care for New Zealanders.”
Irene loves Auckland and enjoying the city’s vitality with her family.
Dr James Lee
Dentist
“Great dental care is all about expertise and compassion, where patients feel relaxed and confident they’re going to get the best possible treatment.”
James earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago. He’s always looking at building on the skills he’s already gained, exploring new and innovative dental methods and techniques.
“Dental treatment advances in leaps and bounds, making the whole process more effective and less stressful. I want to make sure I provide my patients with the very best on offer,” James says.
When he’s not caring for patients, James travels whenever he can, experiencing different cultures and cuisines.

John qualified as a Dental Technician (BDT) in 2005 and completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology in 2008. As an integral part of the Neo Dental team, John provides top-quality dentures. “I’m focused on harnessing the latest technology to provide my patients with the best possible results,” he says.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time in the city with his wife and two sons, and tackling DIY projects at home.
